Crafty? I think I am going to make this

I don't "love" any that are available out there, plus I think I could save a little money (always a plus in my book!) this way. :)

Anyone else try this?

  • Very neat!  I may send this pattern to my step-mom, who is fantastic at sewing!  Thanks for the link :)

  • Just food for thought, if you are going to make it, think about making a couple because you sit this thing in a dirty grocery cart, then when you're done pull it off and ball it up (germs mixing on the clean and dirty sides) along with your kid goobing all over it - they are nasty within a trip or two. I get the concept, bought one for my first and will just sanitize the crap out of the carts as much as I can now with my second - I don't have the hands, time, patience or ability to remember to clean yet another thing this time around.
  • I think this is a great idea! If I had any crafty talent, I would try it myself.
TTC #1 w/ endo since Sept 2005. After many losses, a lap, tons of meds and tons of testing and, one failed IVF cycle, we were blown away with a surprise, sticky BFP...it's a girl!!! Lilypie Second Birthday tickers
  • I think it would be easy to make.

I agree, if germ prevention is your goal, I think you need two, because you need to wash it all the time.

We didn't really use a cart cover very often because like PP it was just one more difficult thing to deal with and hard to put in and out when holding a baby.

  • I'm a little crafty (was a lot more crafty b4 Henry), and that looks kinda like a PITA to make. You can buy them pretty cheaply. I dunno...

Also, I used mine very few times. They are hard to put into place while you are holding a kid. Plus, you should was them pretty frequently. I just take sanitizing wipes to the store with me now. Much easier.

  • I loved ours when he was littler...I really liked them for the restaurant high chairs, because those are so freaking gross...I haven't used ours in a while though (and I agree..make two!)
