Success after IF

Update on me

So, we got kicked out of NC two days early leaving me a whopping 2 1/2 days of vacation (some of you may know that I spent my first 2 1/2 days in a labor and delivery down at the beach).  I feel jipped.

But other than those first two days, I have been feeling pretty good.  Lots of BH ctxs, but not the terrible cramping and back pain that sent me to the L&D in the first place.  Well, today, my back pain is back.  It is very much one sided (right side) and makes me think of a kidney infection- but all of my tests showed no infection, including my straight cath'd urine.  This is how I felt last weekend.  I have had body aches today too and a few chills but I don't appear to have a fever.

I have an appointment with an OB tomorrow morning, so I plan to wait unless it really gets worse.  I was 1cm on Monday.  My cervical length was a 4 (which is great) but I did have a +fFN (which doesn't tell us much- just doesn't reassure us that I am not going into labor soon).

This baby girl is being so dramatic.  I am trying not to overreact to my aches and pains but I also don't want to underreact, you know?  I think DH thinks it is just me being dramatic and can't figure out why I have stayed on the couch all day long.

Anyway, i will update you tomorrow after my appointment.  I am really hoping that I am just getting older and not tolerating pregnancy as well as I did with Patrick.  At any rate, it kinda sucks :-(

Re: Update on me

  • Sorry your vacation was cut short :-( Did they run any tests to check your liver function while you were in the hospital? I'm sure they did. Your description of the back pain on your right side just made me think of that.

I hope you start to feel better and get good news at your appointment tomorrow. Thinking positive thoughts for you and your little girl.

  • Ugh, I'm so sorry you are in pain again.  I really hope that your appointment proves your worries wrong.

For what it's worth I don't think you are being over dramatic, I think that you care and that your are worried about your baby.  I also would put money on it that your husband thinks the same way as me.  Be sure to update us!
