Anyone else doing a last date night before LO comes?

Someone had suggested to me to spend time with my SO before LO arrives. Like a special date night where neither of us have to worry about a baby back home and just enjoy each other's company before we become sleep deprived. Is anyone else thinking of doing this as well? Or if you already did have one, what did you do? I'm curious so I can throw some ideas at my SO for this weekend.

    My SO and I are trying to. It just seems like when the weekend comes its always something to prevent us. So we're hoping for this weekend because she's due in 17 days. There's a place we like to go to. Its a small town that has a river that flow into a waterfall in the middle of the downtown area. It peaceful and there are little shops and restaurants. So we were thinking a movie first then there for dinner and walking to help DD to progress down a little. Having a fewe date nights just to spend alone time is well worth it. I wished I would've did more of these with my DS.

    we were going to go away for a night but totally ran out of time, and I realized I don't like sleeping anywhere but home anyway.

    I think we will just be going out for a really nice dinner

    Every time I think that my DH and I might have a night alone together something comes up. I thought we were going to get the whole weekend together this weekend and Friday night we went to my mom's for dinner and my brother just assumed he was coming home with us (my dad lives with us and picks my brother up after he gets home from work Saturday afternoon and drops him back off at my mom's sunday night so lately if we are in the neighborhood we'll just pick my brother up to save my dad the trip). This weekend my dad didn't think he was going to be home at all so I said this my brother when he said he needed to get ready to come back to our house with us and DH pipes up and says "it's okay dude, you can come hang out with us anyway". That's exactly how I want to spend my second to last weekend: dealing with a rude 13 year old. He really is a good kid and will do anything I need/ask him to do but thinks it's okay to be a rude fvck sometimes (he has it in his head that women are supposed to worship men and do whatever they say---it's our fault he thinks like this, growing up with 4 older sisters who treated him like a king and half of what he says is joking but sometimes he takes it too far and my pregnancy hormones can't deal with it). I'd also like just weekend free of the kid forcing out farts (not even epic farts, just little ones) and looking around at everyone for a reaction.

    So this weekend was a bust. Next weekend is mine and DH's last weekend unless this baby decides to make his appearance before our RCS in a week and a half.

    If im still pregnant this weekend, we are doing dinnerand a movie, apollo 18. Im excited to see the movie, so part of me hopes LO stays til after the weekene,but part of me also wants her out ASAP. How silly huh.

    We had ours last night. Hired a babysitter, went to a friends wedding and when we came home put DS to bed and watched a movie together (first movie in years probably) It was great. But we were both out like a lightbulb after that.

    Last weekend DH and I did date nights... He picked the restaurant one night, and I picked the next night. We actually typically go out once a week anyways but this was to be our last hurrah for a while... We had a great time both nights. :-)

    Yep, we're going out one night over Labor Day weekend as I'm having my RCS on Wednesday the 7th.  I think we're going to do dinner and a movie (if there's anything out we want to see) or dinner and mini-golfing which we've been trying to do all summer but haven't had the time.

    We're hoping to do an anniversary dinner this coming weekend... I need to make reservations!

    We've had date nights any time we can lately.  If I don't have the baby this week, we will go out on Thursday night since I'm being induced Saturday. 

    FWIW, I have many friends who went into labor after their last "date night" :).

    We had a babymoon last month. When I could still effectively climb stairs to the beach house, wear my bikini and walk in the sand without having to take many breaks! lol it was very relaxing and great to sit in the ocean with DH. Also, fishing until 2 or 3am, was relaxing in itself, sitting on the dock with DH without a care in the world!  Aw makes me miss it LOL

     But other than that, we pretty much go out to dinner every Friday after work.

    We did a few weeks ago for our anniversary (really nice dinner out), and we will again this weekend. Probably dinner and a movie or something.

    I'm being induced on Saturday, so DH and I went to the movies this past Saturday and saw "30 minutes or less." It would be nice to go out to dinner on Friday, but I'll be totally fine saving that money instead...we'll see!
