My husband and I are planning on naming our baby (if it's a boy) Obadiah. I'm just curious what people think of it. A few people have told us they love it, but most just don't say anything. We've already chosen the name for sure, I'm just curious to see how people will react to his name.

this...kids may tease him with the ob wan kenobi thing
I know people with that name, then again I live in Israel, so here its pronounced Ovadiyah. If you two are confident and comfortable with the name you picked, then go for it. Our baby is also going to have an uncommon biblical name, but we love it so thats what matters.
I like it, actually. My first inclination was to dislike it, but even in a few minutes it has grown on me.
My initial thought was, "Like the villain in Iron Man?" but that wouldn't really turn me off from using it, especially since it'll be old news to your son once he's old enough to care.
Totally NMS. And this post cracked me up- I never knew Jebediah Springfield's full name!
Will you be calling him Obadiah, or will you use a nickname.
I love Obi!!
