We are between a set at Target and one at BRU. However, I am getting the rocker off of Craigslist. I don't want to do that with a crib just because of all the recalls and someone offered to buy us the crib and changing table new. However, I think it's a smart way to go about getting a rocker for a good deal.
We got our Graco Lauren crib and changing table from Walmart. The brand gets really good reviews in Baby Bargains and Walmart had both for the best price.

I looked at a bunch of places and found good stuff at each location, but nothing I was crazy about until I saw a set at Lazar's in Lincolnwood. However, their prices were cost-prohibitive for sure. Cribs to College in Naperville had the same set for more than 50% LESS than Lazar's (the crib at Lazar's was priced at $890, but at Cribs to College it was $441), so we got the crib, mattress, conversion rails, dresser, hutch, glider and ottoman there instead. It's a great place. A PP said their furniture took 12 weeks to come in, but mine was ready sooner (7 weeks). I had a problem with the ottoman and they replaced it with no problem (it looked like someone sliced it with an exacto knife when they were removing it from the box), so I'd also give their customer service an excellent rating too.
We bought a Babymod crib from Walmart. The one that's the exact same as the Kalani but cheaper. They're made at the same manufacturer. Then we bought a dresser from Ikea and a glider on Craigslist.
we bought our crib and changing table at Buy Buy Baby and they were both very reason because we used a 20% off coupon for both. The only thing is that the crib takes almost 12 weeks to come in
