Recommend your white noise machine

Now that DD is starting to nap in her crib, I want to get a white noise machine for her room, because I'm afraid that any little sound is going to wake her!

I have this Graco one- has an MP3 input and built in nightlight. It can be plugged in or run on batteries. We use it every night.

MH and I both have the ligtning bug ap on our phone that plays all kinds of sleeping noises... although it gets to be a pain in the butt if you ever want to use your phone at the same time she is asleep.

I do NOT recommend the sleep sheep/giraffe because it only runs for 45min max and smetimes wakes our LO up. We just got one on amazon that plugs in so you don't waste batteries and can run all night if you want (though it has a timer option as well). It's the homedics sound spa, costs 18.99.

We have the Womb Bear and have used it since we brought M home. We all love it - and I admit I use it to sleep even when he is not

Of course, I don't know how great my rec is seeing as he is not wanting to sleep these days, but I don't think that has anything to do with the lack or presence of white noise, lol.

Another vote for the Sleep Sheep. We love it! Like PP said, it only runs for 45 min, but usually by then C is in deep sleep and doesn't notice that it shuts off. And if he stirs and I have to go in his room, I just hit the button again to reset the timer.
