With the boys I didn't do much of anything. I was dealing with some bad OHSS and then with twins even in the second tri I didn't have much energy. This time around, I was in better shape before the boys - I was running about 3 miles a day in the month before my IVF, but then once my ovaries got gigantic I couldnt do too much.
Anyways, I haven't done much for the 1st tri but I'm starting to get some energy back and I was just wondering what you did as far as exercise was concerned. How many days a week did you work out? What did you do? When would you do it? I either have to do it at 5 am or 8 pm. I'm obviously not doing it to lose weight, but just to feel good, get some energy and maybe not gain the 60 lbs I did with the boys.
Thanks for the input.

Re: Exercising while pregnant
In my pregnancy, I continued running for 30 mins a day, approx 3 times a week, until about 8 weeks. During the 1st tri, I was really tired all time and eventually slowed down to a 15-20 minute jog about 3 times a week from the start of the 2nd tri until I was about 20 weeks.
From 20 weeks to about 28 weeks, I was walking daily for about 30 minutes. When I hit 30 weeks, I was winded just getting up and down the stairs so, I stopped walking for exercise entirely; I was doing leisurely walks only.
If it helps, I tried to eat as healthy as I could (I had a terrible aversion to veggies) but also went through a few months where all I could eat was trans fats. My total weight gain was 23 lbs. On a side note, I lost all of my pregnancy weight 8 weeks after I gave birth...I'm still contending the 30 lbs of stupid IF weight I was carrying before I got pg...ugh!
I do 20-30 minutes on the elliptical and then 30 minutes doing a strength circuit, using the balance ball and then weights. I have loved sumo squats (with a 12lb weight ball) and lunges for keeping my hips and legs strong. I had a ton of hip trouble with my first pregnancy and almost none so far since working out. Also lift anywhere from 20-30lbs focusing on my arms, inclined push ups, free weights and cable weights.
Because we're fancy like that.
