I love summer and especially in the Pacific Northwest where the fall, winter & spring are gray and gloomy - I relish this time but I am so looking forward to fall. I get really nostalgic in fall and feel the need to make babies (hahahaha, like its "just" that easy!), nest (buy new house stuff: throw pillows, slippers, sofa, etc) or bake (and since on on Weight Watchers now - this is out!).
I'm excited for this fall - everything has really calmed down in our personal/medical lives and I really feel like I have a solid handle on things. I'm coming out of the newborn haze and plan on taking a water color painting class this fall (I need some healthy enrichment for myself!).
What do you have planned for this fall?
Re: Anyone else excited for fall?
I *love* fall. I'm so excited to decorate for fall (my water broke seriously the minute I finished decorating for fall in 2009)..I love decorating with pumpkins, gourds, berry garland, mums, etc.
I love all of the pumpkin desserts. Love going to the pumpkin farm. Love hoodies and jeans. Love the smell of fall.
I'm meeting with my ob/gyn (I don't go to an actual RE..one of the nurse practioners in the office specializes in infertility) on Wednesday. We're looking to cycle in October (Matt's birthday is in September, and I want to wait until after then).
I LOVE fall, it's my favorite season. I love fall clothes and can't wait to start shopping for jeans, sweaters, boots, and a cute fall jacket.
I love the decorations, the smell in the air, picking apples, carving pumpkins, getting cider and donuts, crunching in the fall leaves, bonfires, leaving the windows open in the evening and feeling a cool breeze, the beautiful fall colors, getting out my slower cooker, trips to the park when all of the "big kids" are back at school, and Halloween!
I don't have a lot planned for the fall and that is another thing I love about it. The craziness of plans ever weekend seems to slow down. I'm enjoying NOT having to prepare for back to school just yet (dd doesn't start preschool next year) and having both kids all to myself to go and have fun at places like the park and the zoo when it's not as crowded.
