I'm sure this gets asked all of the time, but the search function on these boards stink. I'm considering making unpaper towels. My thoughts are to purchase flannel for one side and birdseye cotton for the other. Any thoughts on these materials or other preferences? What szie do you recommend? Would a kamsnap hand pliers work ok for adding snaps?
My husband thinks this project is silly "since paper towels are so cheap" but I have a pang of guilt every time I reach for one which seems to be a lot since starting solids with LO.
Thanks!

Me too. I need a project.
I posted about these not long ago! I'm sickened by our paper towel obsession!
I bought a 12 pack of microfiber cloths for $10 at Target and might get some more. They're the same size as a paper towel- love them! I found them in the Auto section- way cheaper there than the cleaning section for the same dang thing!
Lurker here:
I cut up DH's old undershirts and use them as paper towels. I like them because you can toss them in with whites and use bleach to clean. They aren't super absorbent per se; but they do the job the majority of the time. And DH is seemingly always going through shirts, so I have an endless supply!
