So far we haven't told anyone about the baby and DH and I really haven't talked about it much. If we do, we spell the words backwards because DD knows how to spell some words and we didn't want her figuring it out
The other night I was putting DS to bed and he asked me what happened to the swimming diapers that used to be in his closet. I told him I gave them our friend who has a baby. He said that we needed them back and I reminded him that he's potty trained and doesn't need to wear diapers anymore. He said "no Mommy, not me. For OUR baby". I asked him what he was talking about and he said "the baby in your tummy" and patted my stomach. I asked him again what he was talking about and he said "I think there's a baby in there...there's a baby in there right?" I just kind of brushed it off and then started tickling him.
How do kids know? DD was 4 when I got pregnant last time and once we told her, she told everyone we saw so I'm not ready to tell them yet. DS was only 2 and didn't understand but I think he's going to get it this time around.
Re: how does he know??
Aw that's too cute and very cool how they just know sometimes.
