Smells are getting to me

I didn't used to have issues with smells until about 10 weeks along. Today I walk into work and they have their air freshner going throughout the whole hospital. It smelled good initally but now Ick!

. Just vomited in the bathroom. I am stuck here for 12 hours!

Awful. For the first trimester, I had a really hard time going to the grocery store since the smell of rotisserie chicken made me feel sick. I don't eat chicken, but I never found the smell offensive until I got pregnant.

Sorry you have to work with that. Any possibility you can hide the ones in the wing where you work? If you get caught, plead pregnancy induced insanity

I didn't have that many problems with smells until about 2 weeks ago. The other day I was helping a customer at work that had on a lot of perfume....I started dry heaving (making it seem like I was coughing) excused myself and ran to the bathroom to throw up.

Smells have been so bad for me. Especially at my work. I work at a preschool and the other day they had tuna noodle for lunch and i was sitting there trying not to gag in front of the kids but it was horrible and the soap we have makes me gag too everytime when i wash my hands

I hear ya! I'm over my morning sickness, but certain smells make me sick still. I'm going to a picnic for my fianc? deploying for 4 months, and had chicken in the crockpot for buffalo chicken dip- NOT the smell I wanted to wake up to. I've heard putting a little essential oil in a smell you enjoy under your nose ( on upper lip) helps.

I used to have a Glade spritzer thingy in my bathroom that I LOVED. Since about 7 or 8 weeks, I couldn't stand the smell anymore, and it kept getting worse. So I had to put it away until spring :-) I guess b/c the smell is just so strong when it spritzes, it was just too much.

Smells have bothered me since about week 6. Our dog food is completely offensive to me and I try to make DH feed them whenever possible. I hate the smell of coffee (which I normally love) and any kind of meat cooking on a grill. I bought a few of the Bath & Body Works wall flower plug-ins for our office right before I got pregnant. But the smell of them was making me so sick, I had to remove them and put them in a drawer until who knows when. Not to mention, our office is above a restaurant and every afternoon there is some kind of rank smell that I never noticed before and that no one else in my office seems to notice. Even my car smells horrible to me, and I'm not sure why. Peppermint Altoids are my friends as they seem to overwhelm my nose and tastebuds so that I don't actually get sick from all these offensive odors.
