Hi, ladies. I figured I'd head this way since it looks like I'm miscarrying. This was my first pregnancy, and I was about 8w1d along. I've been bleeding since the 16th, but in the last three or four days it's gotten much worse. I had two ultrasounds, one on the 16th and one on the 22nd, both showing a healthy baby and a strong heartbeat. But today I began to pass clots, and contractions started at 11:30 last night. They tapered off and I went to sleep, but they came back around 6:30 this morning. I'm currently sitting in my bathroom floor with the laptop, in some pretty extreme pain while I wait for my body to finish what it started. If it hasn't passed by tonight, my midwife wants me to come in for an exam and possibly a D&C. She said that typically once a miscarriage gets going, it doesn't take a terribly long time for it to complete, and she's worried about my chances of infection.
Thanks for reading this. I know no one here "knows" me, but it feels a little better to know that other people understand what it's like to go through this.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I started miscarrying yesterday but I was only 5 weeks along and this is also my 2nd time so I knew what to expect. I can't imagine the sadness since you already got to see and hear the heartbeat. Just know that you are not alone and there are lots of great ladies here to support you. Take some time for yourself and let yourself be sad for a while. I hope you are feeling better soon.

I also lost my baby at 8 weeks. It was devastating, particularly after suffering from IF. We are here whenever you need us!

I am so sorry you are going through this. I remember you from the TTGP board. (I was mostly a lurker). This is a wonderful place altthough I know it is not a club any of us want to join.

FWIW, I started bleeding heavily 7/15, and by 7/22 it was all over with, so hopefully this won't last terribly long and you won't need a D&C. Lots of ((hugs)) to you and please PM me if you ever want to talk.
