Playing house.

We're babysitting a friend's 11 month old this weekend.  They'd planned it a long time back, so even with the hurricane they still went.  It's kind of nice-- we have our crib set up, baby is sleeping in it-- she's on a great schedule & we're both home to tend to her all day.  They cloth diaper, too, so we're getting practice in on that as well, since we plan to CD too!

I know having our own won't be all bliss like this, but it makes us feel better that we'll be okay with a baby!  And... I need to read up on getting a baby on a good schedule-- this LO is on a solid schedule & she is great!

    I've been babysitting my friend's 5 month and love getting some training in for when mine is here.  Have a fun weekend!

    After I had my son, I found that it was SO much easier and less stressful (for me, at least) than babysitting. You can make your OWN schedule and won't freak out if you do something differently than how the child's parent does it. I am MUCH more relaxed with my own than I ever was babysitting.

    Plus, truly...no matter how much you love your friend's baby, it is NOTHING compared to how much you'll love yours. :)

    Agreed!  I was telling MH- I think it'll be less fun because we'll have our baby forever & we can't give it back after the weekend, but MORE fun, because it's our baby- not someone elses!
