Minnesota Babies

Where to feed my baby at the MN State Fair?

I know last year this question was asked a few times & I know the first time going with Aiden I was lost & had to hunt out this information so I thought I would post this before the fair started.

The lactation station is a quiet place for new moms to feed and change their children. It's equipped with changing tables, LaCroix Sparkling Water, fans, rocking chairs, magazines to read and all the diapering essentials. There are also electrical outlets available to those new moms who need a place to plug in the pump!
We're located at the corner of Cooper & Randall!

  • there are also nursing rooms in the first aid building down by heritage square.

The my 107 tent is kind of nice though, they usually have samples of stuff out, and nice chairs (the first aid building is just plastic lawn chairs), and fans. However, it does start to stink because of all the dirty diapers...

  • Oh thanks for reminding me about the other one. I think there are others around the fair but I can't think of them (hoping someone can fill in the gaps)

  • Thank you for posting, I know I'll need to pump or I'll be quite uncomfortable when I get home.

  • Thanks so much for posting Patti!

We were trying to decide whether to bring DD along or not and I think we will now that I don't have to worry about where I will be able to feed her.

  • I very much endorse the Lactation Station! It was a Godsend last year. They had comfy chairs, a changing area and fans! I almost felt bad for DH, who was sitting outside waiting for us.

  • I will probably go over there to change DD's diaper.  I didn't take her last year because she was only a week old and that would not have been fun.
  • Thanks for posting this!

We were at the fair yesterday and I MUCH preferred the C & A building over the lactation station (DS wasn't along so I was pumping). The LS did have water, samples, fans, chairs etc. which was nice but it was so stifling hot in there. When I heard the C & A building was air conditioned I went there next, and while it didn't come with freebies, I got to pump in my own private room in the air conditioning!

basically first aid. it's down across the street from heritage square. I think it's technically the "care and assistance" building,

  • Yep, care and assistance building. It has first aid and lost and found, and is on Dan Patch ave.

  • Thanks for the info! We plan on going today and I was curious to where I could change DD's diaper.
