My husband is a state police officer (one of over 1000 officers in our state) and twice in less than 2 weeks he's gotten a personal thank you/recognition note from the department's colonel for felony arrests he's made. He plays it off like it is nothing, but I am so very proud of him and the thank-less job he does every single day!
Re: Can I AW my husband?
I am married to a cop, too...

That's great Kdg! Congrats to your husband for doing such an outstanding job!
He definitely deserves some praise!! MH is a police officer as well, and I know exactly what you mean about 'playing it off'... Mine has done the exact same thing. He'll bring home his commendation letters and tell me about it - I'll read them and listen to what happened - and then he just kinda shrugs it off.
My experience has been that they don't really get a whole lot of praise from their service (other than on paper) ... so I try to make up for that
Big congrats to your DH!
