My DH's truck just burned...in our yard...

We were eating dinner, and Steven saw smoke in the front yard. He looked out the window and said "Holy sh!t...my truck is on fire!".
The whole front end is just gone. Tires, windshield, engine, windows, hood...gone. Things exploded, things melted. The fire department was able to put it out before it got the rear end, but it scorched a huge spot in our yard.
We are all okay...and it didn't get to our house. It scared us all to death. I'm just glad the thing wasn't parked in our garage.
I will never, ever again park a car in a garage that is attached to my house. It scared me to death watching his poor truck burn up and knowing that if it had been in our garage, we could have lost our house. So scary.

We aren't at all sure why it caught on fire.
Steven had rented a scissor lift today to fix a piece of vinyl siding on our house that had blown off in the last storm. It is WAY up high, and so he needed the scissor lift to get to it.
He finished and parked the truck in the yard. Around 3 hours later, we were eating supper and looked out an it was on fire. No reason that we can find.
