I got sick this past week. I'm blaming the back to school crowd for that. And maybe because I went with my 7 year old niece to a jumping gym (didn't jump, but probably got exposed to a lot of stuff).
I've sweated out the worst of it, and now I just have this pesky cough. Problem is, I have a history of respiratory problems (I'm a 2 month preemie), and it takes me almost a month to get rid of a cough all together. What is the best thing to do about this?

Re: This damn cough
I got sick this week. I'm a teacher, and it was our first week back to school, and inevitably, I ALWAYS get sick as soon as the germy kids walk into my classroom.
My doctor gave me a list of certain medications that are ok to take while pregnant:
Sudafed, Dimetapp, Robitussin DM, Tylenol, Cough Drops, Vics Vapor Rub, Tylenol Allergy and Cold, Allegra, Claritin, Benadryl
Mine started out as a terrible sore throat, so I gargled salt water and drank orange juice and had cough drops. Then I had a terrible runny nose and caved in and used Sudafed, which dried it up, but I was left with a terrible pounding headache and couldn't fall asleep. I was given the ok by my doctor to use Tylenol pm to help me sleep. Today, I took a hot shower and let the shower head beat on my forehead to relieve the pressure in my sinuses and left a warm, moist compress on my forehead. I've slept all day and I feel MUCH better.
Hope this helps!
