I won the battle
When DH and I moved into our home 4 yrs ago, there were 2 rooms with really horrible airbrushed murals on them. It took 3 coats of primer and 3 coats of paint to cover them. So when E was born, DH refused to let me have my BFF paint a mural for her. Instead she painted 3 pictures on canvas to hang on her walls. Well, this morning we were lying in bed talking and I mentioned that I thought we should move E into her big girl room for her 3rd bday. He agreed. Then I said, and I want my BFF to paint her a mural. DH didn't like that idea but I made several points that 1. the room will have to be painted in a few years anyway 2. my BFF does WAY better murals than what the previous owners had done and 3. I described the mural I wanted to do in E's room with a tree and owls and birds, etc. His response..."She likes frogs too."WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I win and my BFF can paint!!
