Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
We are about 30 miles from where Jess is. The rain has picked up, and the storm is due to hit us later this evening. I think the worst we will have to deal with is potential wind damage and power outages. Oh, and a dog who thinks he made of spun sugar and refuses to go out to potty! He'll be crossing his legs soon, I think.
We are going to have to TV detox LO after this weekend. He is playing nicely, but the TV has been on, news and kid appropriate shows/movies. Tomorrow, my plan is to break out his brand new art easel.

I was just popping on to see how everyone was making out. I have been in touch w my parents in MA getting reports. Hope everyone is doing ok and not going too stir crazy.
I'm about 30 miles north of Jess and Marni and we've already experienced our first power outage of the storm. But its already restored. DH left this morning for Vegas, so headed up to Baltimore to hunker down with my parents. . It's just super rainy and windy here. But its supposed to get worse as the evening goes on!
I'm in central NC and we had crazy wind which lasted much of the morning. I thought we weren't going to get the rain but we had a couple very quick surprise (presumably trailing...I haven't checked any weather info today) bands come through an hour or two ago. This storm is going up the coast rather than inland so it's not as bad as we often get. Of course, unfortunately that means it's headed toward many of you. Stay safe!

I was just thinking the same thing about TV (and junk food) detoxing tomorrow. She has had two cereal bars and a yogurt smoothie today-- about 3 times the sugar she usually gets.

We are locked down and all prepared. We kept the kids out all day today, the shook their silliest out all afternoon with their cousins. My biggest concern is an extended power outage

The news I've seen looks terrible and like there's the potential for a lot of really bad damage.
Everyone be careful!!!
Says 1 million Virginians without power already and 6 people dead.
"Worst still to come."
ETA: Oops, "only" half a million without power. So far.
