Uh, in what way are these maternity clothes?

I was browsing the American Apparel site in my search for some new pajamas and noticed they had a "Maternity" section. I was so happy! Clicked on it to find this: https://store.americanapparel.net/women-maternity.html - Uh, I can see how a few of the items would work as maternity...but most of it I can't imagine wearing at all while pregnant!! What do you gals think?

For example, these items I cannot imagine wearing now:

    I am dying--these are horrible!  I can't decide what I like better--the leotard that looks like something team China gymnasts will be wearing in the next Olympics, or the one piece blue and black...thing next to it!  I'm so showing these to H when he gets back!

    Hehe, I know I've kept the site up on my mozilla tabs and taken a glance every few hours while I've been working just to get a few giggles! Finally, I thought, hey if I think this is so funny I bet the Bump girls would too!

    Hehe, I almost want to order the leotard and see what DH thinks when I try to wear it at 6 months. Wink

    Ok don't judge me but I have the two outfits on top. Not those specific ones from American Apparel but the fitted long sleeve dress I have in blue and white stripe and I love it. I love that it lets me show off my bump even thought it's not huge yet. and the outfit to the right... I am wearing today! The skirt is super comfortable, the wide top lays right over my belly, granted I don't tuck in my shirt but I feel so comfy in it. I have that skirt in 7 colors to be honest... mine are jersey knit and so wonderful for warm and cooler weather, especially with tights!

    Oh, no, I won't judge you...hey if it still fits you great! :) But I'm just curious how they intend that it's meant to be maternity clothes. I know for sure that skirt would not fit me now (I have one similar) and the top right sweater might just depending how stretchy, etc.

    I was referring specifically to the pants suit and leotard.  LOL  Also, that dress is pretty 80's.  I would have SO rocked that back in the day with my big hair!!!!

    Completely ridiculous as far as I'm concerned. But then again, if you are young, have a hot bod, and a rocking belly that you want to show off, I guess these "maternity" clothes would be the ones to get, lol!

    The top left I could see with leggings and boots in the winter and the top right I could see working also (it's just nms). But seriously, I'm all for rocking my bump (even now at 16 weeks), but the bottom two are a little extreme even for me.

    Yes  And the blue/black unitard thing- what pregnant woman would ever pose like that?! I also love that the clothes are either super fitted or frumpy/baggy looking. Tongue Tied
