Pregnant after IF

Update to I'm bleeding.

First, thanks for all the T&Ps.  It appears they are working.

When I went in for the u/s the tech immediately told me she saw 2 heartbeats.  (On Thursday they only saw 1, but 2 sacs).  She said one sac was measuring 6w1d with a hb of 96 and the other 6w3d with a hb of 110. (I'm 6w2d today).  She couldn't find where the bleeding was coming from though.

I then met with a doctor.  The doctor was very reassuring and told me that the growth since my last u/s (which was 2 days ago) is very encouraging.  She said that unfortunately, bleeding can be normal during pregnancy.

So, while I am still nervous about the bleeding, I am relieved by the results of today's u/s.  The bleeding is slowing down now.  I'm just going to take it easy for the rest of the weekend and hope that the bleeding stops and doesn't come back (a girl can wish!)

Thanks again for all the support!

  • Yay.  I'm so glad that it is just that stupid "normal" pregnancy bleeding.  I had a few bleeding episodes first tri and it scared me to death.  Don't be surprised if it comes back.  And remember to just get off of your feet and drink lots of water.  That always seems to help.

  • Yay, I am so happy to read this update!

Your bleeding episode sounds a lot like the bleeding I had in 1st tri.  They were never able to find the source of the bleeding and it eventually stopped.  It sucks and is stressful, but they repeatedly told me that it can be normal.  Although that doesn't really help at the time.  I hope it stops and stays away and your LOs continue to grow and thrive!!!

    Continued T&P sweetie!

  • That had to be so scary.  I had spotting yesterday for the first time (probably just due to my PAP 2 days ago), and I was freaking the hell out.  I am sure what you went through was terrifying, even if it is normal.

  • The fact that they can't see where the bleeding is from is actually great!  That means it isn't a serious subchorionic hematoma, which has been the demise of some of my babies.

I checked here and saw you were bleeding.  I am so happy you were able to see TWO heartbeats!  Congratulations!  I know it must be hard with the bleeding, but that is so exciting!  Take it easy and drink lots of water!
