How long after your BFP did your RE release you to exercise? Mine has been really strict about it while I was cycling (nothing that would raise HR over 110). After ER, they said nothing for a week, then I could go easy. Obviously I will ask at my appointment on Tuesday, but I was wondering if bike riding should be okay tomorrow.

My docs told me walking and swimming are fine, but no other exercising and also to avoid riding in the car much because it has too much vibrations from the road. They were very specific, they said I could take a train or a plane to get out of town a bit but absolutely no long car trips. I thought it was weird at first, but every time I'm in the car, I actually notice all of the extra vibrations, potholes, etc.
I know they also give the same restrictions to other patients, so I don't know if that's the norm here in France or if they take the same precaution in other European countries. I don't even know how that would work in the USA, we can't get anywhere without a car in most places...
TTC since July 2008

it's a girl!!
I'm probably going to be a little different than you because I developed OHSS.. but until I had my first ultrasound my RE did not want me doing any exercising... the only thing allowed was walking. So I would not risk problems going on a bike ride.
My exercise ban wasn't lifted until I was 15 weeks... took that long for my ovaries to get smaller.
My RE is very conservative and said no exercise for the first trimester, including sex. I asked about walking and he'd say walking is fine, but not if you're trying to make it a "workout". Um, ok.
I stayed on the safe side and have no regrets.
