My newborn! I went through LO's clothes today because as almost on cue when turning 3 month he's grown out of his 0-3 clothes I had to put away some and take some 3-6 to wash and have ready for him. He no longer sleeps on my chest like he used to froggy style, and I miss it! I miss how tiny and light he used to feel! ... If your LO already grew out of some clothes, what are you doing with it? Saving for the next one? For someone else? Giving it away?
Re: I already miss...
I'm saving the clothes I like, especially the gender neutral stuff. The excess (I got more gifts and hand-me-downs than we could possibly use) I'm giving to pg friends.
I'm still working on the best way to store... I think I need to pick up a rubbermaid container.

Yes, I have one Rubbermaid container of GN stuff that will work for my DD. And things that I just want to keep, like coming home outfits, special blankets etc.
I agree, though. It's sad to put it all away and even a bit more bittersweet for me since this is my last baby. It goes so fast!
I'm saving everything. We're planning on having more, and even if they're all girls they can wear most of what we've got. I have no qualms about a girl wearing bold blues. Eventually I'll either sell them on craigslist, give them to a friend, or Goodwill. That'll probably be a long time from now, though.
For the meantime, I'm storing everything in a rubbermaid bin that fits under the guest bed. I'll probably have to get a couple more to fit the rest of his clothes eventually, but it works for now. And it seems like every day I'm bringing more clothes to storage. He's already growing out of some 6 month (lengthwise).

I feel your pain! The boys are outgrowing some of their 3-6 months clothes now, how crazy is that?! We've been folding the clothes nicely and putting them in a plastic tub. If we have a boy next time, we'll use them for him. If we have a little girl, we'll go through it, keep the gender-neutral clothes and pass the rest along to someone expecting a boy that could use them. We haven't bought many clothes for them since we've had most of them donated by friends, so we're going to pass the buck as soon as we're sure we won't be using them ever again.
Confession: I've cried every time I've "retired" their clothes. They're just growing up too fast!
I miss my newborn too!
We're saving all the clothes for the next one.
I have been lamenting how fast DD is growing up too. DH says she looks bigger every day when he gets home from work. She's already gone through NB, 0-3 and some 3-6 months. She's wearing a 6-9 mo sleeper tonight, but its Gerber, so that doesn't count!
We're one and done, so I'm not keeping anything, other than one or two special outfits from each size, which I'm going to label and store for DD when she's older. I've packed up the GN stuff for one friend that is 8wks pg and isn't going to find out what she's having. All the girlie stuff is in a rubbermaid tote until my other pg friend finds out what she's having in October. I'll give them to her if it's a girl, otherwise I'll put them in one of the big spring consignment sales or take them to Goodwill. I don't have room to store them for other potential preggo friends!
This is us. Only I am storing them in the cedar closet down in the basement. We do plan on having more kids, so I don't want to get rid of anything yet. If it is a girl but born in the winter, we will probably sort through and see what will work for the winter time. If it is a boy we will sort through the clothes as well. However, for now we are keeping them all.
Although with my daughter the 0-3 clothes finally fit WELL on her. She has been wearing them for about two months or so, because we didn't have many newborn clothes, but for the longest time they have been huge on her. So who knows when she will get to the next size.
