We picked the name Norah for a girl after we saw it on TV, spelled N-O-R-A-H. After I posted on here one time that we had picked that name I had a few responses saying "We picked the name Nora too for a girl." Nobody else spelled it with an H. I thought the name was not very popular (I work on a maternity unit and I looked through about 3 years worth of our name records and only found 4 Norah's.) and now I feel like it might be more common than we thought
All that being said, I don't want the name to become more common and then have my daughter be the only one with the H on the end, but I love it spelled that way!
Re: which spelling (clicky)
I voted for the H on the end.
But in response to your bolded statement - you may already know this, but just in case... the Social Security administration has a website that tells you the popularity of any name for every year up to last year. So if you really want to know how common a name is, you can search for it there.

love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
Yes, this is exactly what I was going to say. My name is SaraH and I always thought Sara looked sort of incomplete.
Thanks for picking on my name everyone. J/K. My name is Sara without an H. And I was going to say, don't worry about your child being the only one with their name spelt that way. Growing up everyone would just place an H on the end of my name because that was the most common way to spell it. However, I felt special that my name was spelt differently than the many other Sarah's that I came accross. Not to insult any Sarah's out there, but I thought the H was always unneccessary and made the name uglier. That said, I agreed that the H on Nora made it look more complete. Really, however you write the name that is how your daughter will end up liking it.
