Are you planning to get them done professionally? YES!!

What are you willing to pay? I'm guessing that this will cost a ton given the prices I've seen online for my area. I don't want to spend more than $1500 if possible. I really wish it were cheaper.

Will you send birth announcements? Yes, I've been waiting years for this. I love traditional birth announcements with newborn photos.

I'm using the same one who did my maternity photos. She gives $50 off newborn packages if you book maternity. We paid $325 for that, and we'll pay $275 for newborn, but then she does not have her own studio and I'm in a pretty low COL area. And yes, we're doing announcements:D

Edited: IDK if "freelance" is the right word; she's a full-time professional, just doesn't have a studio. Her site is tsmoorephoto dot com. If you scroll down far enough on her photo page, you'll see the same belly shot that's in my siggy:)

Are you planning to get them done professionally? Yes. I am a wedding photographer and have hired a child photographer in the area that I love. I really value photos and don't want to jack up my babies photos by having them be my test subjects.

What are you willing to pay? I believe we are paying just over $1200 for a baby's first year package

Will you send birth announcements? Yes! I've already been eyeing twin announcement designs.

My DH is actually a strong amateur photg too and he'll be doing them. He's pretty critical of all our local photogs, so its just easier for him to do it himself. He has the lights and lenses, so we just need the baby . In our area, its definitely over $1000 for pictures.

And we are definitely sending out announcements. After years of waiting, I'm glad for it to finally be our turn!

Are you planning to get them done professionally? Yes! I'm a photographer but I don't do still life sorts of things so I'm leaving it up to someone else!

What are you willing to pay? The girl I'm leaning strongly towards right now charges $350 and includes 10 images (digital files).

Will you send birth announcements? Yes! I'm probably going to design them online and have them printed, but I may use my photographer.

What are you willing to pay? We are going with the same folks who did LMC's and it's $250 for a session with full photo rights. I'd be willing to spend up to $300 probably.

Are you planning to get them done professionally? Yes. There is a great local photographer that is going to do them for us. She has a package called "Belly to Baby" that includes maternity photos, newborn photos, 6 month photos and 12 month photos.

What are you willing to pay? That package I just mentioned is $550.00

Will you send birth announcements? Absolutely Everyone needs to see how stinking cute these babies are going to be!

Are you planning to get them done professionally?

God knows I want to so badly, but my pockets just can't agree with the average cost of professionals here in NY, so I will probably defer to a chain again, either Picture people or JC Penny probably.

What are you willing to pay?

I could easily part with $200, maybe even up to $300, but more than that for not to much more in terms of product I just can't justify.

Will you send birth announcements?

Absolutely! I think I will do them with an online service, either Hallmark,Shutterfly or Tinyprints.

As a side note , I do have a friend who is really good with a camera and I asked him about taking some newborn pics for me. He hasn't gotten back to me yet.

Are you planning to get them done professionally? I really want to but I have to talk DH into it and find someone affordable.

What are you willing to pay? The photographer I absolutely love charges $90 for a newborn session, no digital rights and there is a $250 minimum print order. It's more than I'd like to spend so I think I need to keep looking...I think I'd be ok with this deal if we got any kind of digital rights...

Are you planning to get them done professionally? YES! I am a professional photographer, that's what I do for a living... so I'm hoping I will have the energy to do them myself.

What are you willing to pay? I would be willing to pay hundreds of dollars for this... I just did 1 year photos and the mom told me today she is so glad she did newborn photos. Those were her favorite and she says she can't believe he was that little.. and she's so happy she has those nice images to always remember that very short time.

Will you send birth announcements? Of course, I will use my professional printing lab to have them printed. A friend of mine, who's a graphic designer has offered to design them for me.

Are you planning to get them done professionally? I'm on the fence about this. I am very capable of taking them myself, I just don't know if I'm going to want to. Part of me would rather have someone else take them and edit them so that I can spend the first few weeks completely focused on the baby. I'm afraid I'll be too stressed out if I try to shoot their newborn photos. However, I don't know who I'd choose to shoot them around here. I have a good friend who is a photog, but I really dislike her newborn photos. Her newborns are hardly ever sleeping and I'm pretty sure she just doesn't know the trick to it.

What are you willing to pay? That depends. I told DH that I want maternity pics from Bobbi and Mike and those will cost A LOT. So, if I get those, then I'm going to be limited on newborn pics.

Will you send birth announcements? Yes. I'll design those myself.
