My current routine is not working, I keep getting micorfiber stink issues. ANy changes you ladies could suggest would be appreciated. I have a Whirlpool Duet FL and use county save.
The diaper sit a max of 48 hours in a dry pail- we use all pockets, seperated as they go into the pail.
I have been doing a cold quickwash with an extras rinse- On the last spin I don't have it spin out to keep the diapers heavier. I have tried both with and with out detergant, 1 tbs which is about 1/4 scoop.
Then I do a whitest whites wash with extra rinse (hot wash, cold rinse) with 1tbs detergent.
On both cycles I push the button for max soil level to help add water to the machine. When the diapers come out they smell fresh. I have also tried stripping to rule that out.
Any suggestions?

Instead of a cold prewash, try a warm one. I have an HE toploader and I do a warm/warm quick wash with no spin and an extra rinse with 1/2 the detergent (we use dropps so I use 1 packet here), and then a hot/cold heavy duty wash with a presoak, heavy soil, extra rinse, etc. with the rest of the detergent (in our case the other packet of dropps).
we also have hard water so I'll sometimes throw in some calgon to help things along and do some double extra rinses at the end.
I add a bit of tea tree oil, and it took the stink out. I do it about every 3rd wash.
Here is my routine.
cold prewash, Hot/cold heavy soil cycle, extra rinse. I also use the water plus button to add more water to the cycle. Then I line dry.
Thank you all

I got rid of microfiber ages ago, for this very reason...
I also use more detergent. I've actually started using the full amount for a regular load in a TOP loader -- I use Country Save and I'm using a full scoop.

I have Whirlpool Duets as well.
I do:
1 quickwash, cold (medium soil level) no detergent, then
1 "heavy duty" or "sanitary" with 2 tbls of rockin' green
I alternate heavy duty and sanitary. I read the manual and heavy duty is actually warmer than whitest whites. It said it is best for "organic soil" like blood. So, I use that. Also, the cycle is a little longer than whitest whites. I don't do extra rinses. I spin on the fastsest spin.
I use sanitary because of the microfiber. It is super hot and really cleans it well.
