Cloth Diapering

sposie wipes for sensative skin?

Our day care provider will use our cloth diapers but requested we send her with disposable wipes. My DD has somewhat sensitive skin.

We've been using the 7th Generation wipes, but they sort of a weird smell.

What sensitive brand do you use that you like?

Re: sposie wipes for sensative skin?

  • We used cloth wipes with DD in the beginning and she got rashy so we switched to the Lansinoh wipes and they have been terrific.  The first rash cleared up THAT DAY and she hasn't had one since.  I am slowly transitioning to cloth wipes now, but we still use the lansinoh for poops.

I get them from Amazon with the subscribe and save - it's the cheapest I have found them.

  • A friend of mine (A CD Momma) suggested the huggies disposables (Natural care) she said The pampers ones irritated her LOs and she also didn't care for 7th generation. I got a few of them to see how they work, but I'm planning to try the Lanisoh ones also.

  • Our favorite sposie wipes are Kirkland from Costco.  My LOs don't have particularly sensitive skin, but they are fragrance free and pretty gentle.

  • Our LO has sensitive skin and although I don't love the smell of the Seventh Generation ones - they don't make him break out. We also have had good luck with Huggies sensitive but I don't think they have a strong scent either. I can't remember since we have been using mainly Seventh Generation for 9 months.

  • I second the rec of Huggies Natural Care. We had always used Pampers, and only used the Huggies bc they were a gift.  So glad I did.  The Pampers are floppy and thin, and waaaay too wet, especially in our wipes warmer.  I have to ring out each wipe when I get towards the bottom of the stack because they have soaked up so much.

The Huggies Natural Care were thick, just the right amount of wetness and never irritated DS's skin.  I think it helped that they weren't as wet as the Pampers because his skin could dry quicker between changes, rather than having that wet wipe solution all over, just sitting on his skin after I closed the diaper.

  • I also love the Kirkland wipes from Costco!  I bought a box of Huggies Pure and Natural just because I wanted the box to use for my cloth wipes, and I felt like those irritated DS's butt way more than the Kirklands.  I only use disposable wipes in the diaper bag for outings now and I just carry around a pack of them.  Easier than refilling a wipes case, IMO.

  • full circle tea tree oil wipes are great for sensative skin :)
  • Thanks, ladies! I'll finish up this case of weird-smell 7th Gen and then try some Huggies. :)

  • Earth's Best are the only brand that hasn't irritated DS's super sensitive skin (Huggies Naturals did). They have no smell and they're more wet than any other wipe so they work great.
