Baby food makers

Do you purchase organic?  Are their only certain foods you get organic?  So far I've made squash, peas, sweet potatoes, and green beans, but none of them are organic.  But I read that it's a good idea to buy organic fruits.  What do you do?

  • I buy a lot of my stuff from the local fruit market.

  • I only buy organic when the vegetable or fruit is one of the dirty dozen.  You can google dirty dozen and it will give you a list of the most pesticide laden produce.

  • Whenever possible yes.
  • I buy everything local and I go by a "dirty dozen" list. For the most part everything I purchase locally is organic.

  • I buy organic when possible.

I shop the farmer's market also.  Big Smile

Sometimes we don't have organic available, so I just wash stuff well.

  • Google dirty dozen.  I def buy those items organic.  We shop locally so everything else is local or organic if on sale.

  • Guess I'm the odd one out.

I don't buy anything organic unless for some weird reason it's cheaper. DH is a toxicologist and thinks all of that is hooey anyway (sorry).

  • I buy organic cereals because they are about the same price as regular. I also buy organic peaches, sweet potatoes, and carrots (the carrots taste better). I plan to buy organic apples and pears when they are in season. Otherwise, like others have mentioned, it has mostly been regular, if it's not on the dirty dozen. I buy frozen peas and green beans and regular avocados, squash, and bananas.
