I'm not sure if this is violating TOS in some way, but I wanted to share this with you.
BIL and SIL had their first and only child in January of 2009. They wanted a big family, but SIL is possibly infertile after a large portion of the placenta remained inside her for four months after delivery. She told the OB she was experiencing heavy bleeding, clots, and cramps for months and he ignored her (and actually missed the tissue on scans he finally agreed to do). Anyway, that's beside the point, but it means that BIL and SIL are beginning the adoption process!
They've decided to pursue an international adoption, and BIL wrote a song called "Home" about the adoption. It's available for free download on their adoption blog here:
https://bringingthenationshome.blogspot.com/
Like I said, you can download the song for free (and it's a sweet song!), but there's a button where you can opt to donate. The recommended donation is $1, and they're using the song as a means of fundraising for the adoption. Even if you don't contribute, please listen to the song and keep them in your thoughts and prayers!
Re: Not sure if I can do this here...
That's so great! I have a nephew from Ethiopia, he just turned two. Where are they adopting from?
Are the monogrammed pillowcase dresses on the blog for sale? I'm interested in buying one for my sister's little girl if it helps them bring a baby home.
They haven't decided on a country for sure, but it will most likely be Guatemala. Things have really been falling into place for them to have a speedy adoption from there!
My SIL is making and selling pillowcase dresses, yes! Her album on Facebook says the pillowcase dresses are $18 plus $7 for monogramming (my other SIL does that part). So I'm guessing it'd be $25 plus shipping, and she can do them in all different fabrics. PM me if you're interested!
