DD has great head control and is sitting up pretty well. I am getting sick of lifting the car seat, especially when DD (15lbs.) is in it. Right now we use the Graco Snugride 35 and the snap n go stroller.
We put her in the umbrella stroller tonight just to see if she would like it and she did! The particular stroller we got reclines a small amount. I can't find a weight/height/age requirement or suggestion anywhere though.
DD starts daycare next week and I know the lady who will watch her wants a stroller for use during the day. I am thinking of just sending the umbrella stroller instead of the car seat/snap n go combination. The only downside I can see is that it doesn't fully recline and that might be problematic if DD falls asleep.
Are you switching strollers yet? What's your plan?
Re: When do you plan to use an umbrella stroller?
we used it last week to see if she liked it better than the other stroller. she was okay in it but she apparently doesnt prefer the umbrella stroller.

i hadn't even thought of trying to use it without the car seat yet. She loves walks, so I'll have to try it out. This is some MAJOR acknowledgment that my baby is growing way too fast! haha?
We just started using one - the Maclaren Quest, which reclines just enough to be ok. Since baby's still a little too small for the stroller, we threaded the straps through the lowest shoulder holes, and added a Snuzzler to the seat. Now it's perfect, and wonderful not to have to strap her into a carseat in order to put wheels under her.
The pic below is of Sarina in her Maclaren, with Snuzzler.
