It is so funny to hear. I'm a NY transplant living in South Carolina, so I have a NY accent. Nicholas is born and going to be bred in the South, some of the words he says has a bit of southern twang to them. I think it's hilarious. I'll even ask him to say certain words that I know he'll say with a twang. He must think I'm nuts when I ask him to say "Hotdog" a million times. LOL.

Re: Nicholas has a slight twang in his voice
Funny. I told DH we should put the video camera in his room during bedtime since he talks up a storm while he's in bed. It's hilarious. Sometimes I'll hear: "Yay! Mommy!, Yay Ayba (Ava)! Yay Mia (my mom's dog)!" "I got mine!". Such random things. My DH thinks he's talking to a ghost.
Last night's new twangy word was "bear".
No accent? Really? I used to go to St Louis to visit my Grandparents and Aunt as a kid during the summer and I would spend time with the other kids in their condo complex. I would hear accents galore. Of course they didn't think they had one.
I'm sure if I met you I'd hear an accent.
