WTF - MIL Vent (poop related)

So,
I think all you girls are going to get out of me now are stories related to poop and LO's lack of poop. So.. here is a MIL vent that is related to our lack of poop issues.
DH was apparently talking to MIL yesterday and happened to mention that LO's poop strike went 12 days and that we have to give him juice now once a day to try and get him regular and if that doesn't work we're going to have to upgrade to fiber powder in his bottles.. I forgot what its called. Anyway.
MIL told DH to put a TABLESPOON of honey in his milk bottles. Apparently, one of the reasons you are not suppose to give honey to babies is because it makes them have stomach problems. Well, in typical MIL fashion she told DH "I gave it to you and you came out fine" DH has 6 brothers and sisters and this is what MIL did with her kids and she somehow managed not to kill any. OH HECKKK NO MIL Honey is not coming NEAR my baby. But I'm glad you didn't KILL YOUR SON.

My MIL lives 8 hrs away.. that didn't stop her from her shenanigans

Aren't you just so sick of hearing the ol " well we used to do it and no one died"... I hear it from numerous people and it drives me insane!
Yes, you used to smoke, drink and wahtever else while pregnant. We Now know that it causes significant harm. You used to give babies cows milk with 'syrup' in it instead of formula and it didn't kill babies. Now we know that a lot of babies don't digest cows milk properly, probably why there were a lot of colicky (gassy, upset) babies back then. Yes, you gave SIL a donut at 3 months and she didn't die. She has had problems with her weight since she was a kid - maybe not related but sure as hell wasn't good for her at 3 freaking months!!

YES! And coming from my MIL it makes my blood boil even more. DH has major problems I would say with tolerating foods. He can't have a lot of lettuce and things tend to go right through him (TMI sorry) a lot.. and that's always my arguement.. Ya you didn't die but you can't tolerate vegetables and I am lactose intolerant because my mom gave me milk because it was cheaper than formula.. BUT WE'RE ALIVE Ugh

I can't eat too much lettuce either without being up all night in the bathroom... I never even put two and two together! Veggies and me don't mix well but I have to eat em.
You'd think with as much knowledge as we have nowadays on pretty much everything, that people from that generation would Listen! You don't have to admit you were wrong, just that you didn't know better.
