Why does the "final stretch" seem SO LONG???

This pregnancy seems to have literally 'flown' by....that is UNTIL NOW!!! 

Now that the end is in sight it seems like the days are going by so slowly!  I guess it is all the anticipation and excitement plus all the wondering "when is this baby going to actually make her appearance?"! 

Anyway I look at it.....these last few weeks seem like eternity to me right now.  I can't imagine how those who are past their due date feel......

    I know exactly what you mean!  I know my due date but I also know that he could come before or after that.  I'm so anxious to meet our little boy!!

    I hear ya. The first tri went slow waiting for that 13 weeks to pass and now I'm due this week and have always figured I would go over but it's just dreadful, this waiting game.  Especially since I have a lot of contractions, just none that stick to a timeline or make me feel like I need to go to L&D.  Hang in there, I know it seems like forever!

    It's ridiculous.  I feel like a circus act.  Every day at work, people stop by or call to see if I'm still here.  They also stare at my belly constantly.  Grr.
