After I had my DD I suffered from PPD. I was on zoloft from my 6 week PP check-up at the beginning of Nov 2010 until April 2011. I weaned myself off of it when I felt I was ready. My question is, is anybody else scared to have another baby after suffering from PPD? I had a really hard time after my DD was born and I am terrified that this will happen again. My DH is so concerned that it could potentially happen again that he has said he doesn't want anymore kids. I do want more kids but I'm seriously scared. I don't want to go through that again.

I dont have an answer for you but am wondering the same exact thing. I am 6 wks pp and just am now seeking help. I am soooo stressed,overwhelmed,etc. I am hoping to go on some type of med. asap. I did have this conversation with my DH and I feel the same way as you. As much as I dont want an only child, I dont want to feel this way again.Your not alone.
Can I ask, do most people get to wean off in a reasonable amount of time, and also is Zoloft the most common med they use for PPD? Does it help with anxiety?
