IUI #1 here we come

Even after the ultrasound today with the large follie/cyst, whatever, my estrogen levels are fine, so I'm cleared to start clomid on day 5.

Since I'm an early ovulater I'll go back in on day 10 for monitoring so we don't miss O time, and hopefully will have the IUI a few days after that.

I'm excited, b/c after the ultrasound this morning I thought we might have to cancel the cycle, but trying to stay realistic with the chances of this working...its a fine line!  I want to be positive, but not too positive so I'm not crushed when it doesn't work....does that make any sense?

TTC since 5/2010
DX with Diminished Ovarian Reserve - AMH of 1.1 - 7/2011; AMH of .42 8/2012BFP 9/1/10-M/C confirmed 9/8/10-Methotrexate 10/6/10
IUI #1 (w/clomid)-9/5/11-BFN ; IUI #2 (w/clomid)-10/5/11 - BFP - 11/1/12-No sac seen; 11/2/11 and 11/9/11-Methotrexate 
IVF #1- ER 2/2; ET 2/5;-Two 8 cell embryos transfered = BFFN
Surprise BFP - 5/7/12
U/S on 6/8/12 - H/B at 128 BPM; U/S on 6/14/12 @ 9wks-No H/B-D&C on 6/17/12
IVF 2.0- ER 10/17; ET 10/20-One 12 cell, one 10 cell and one 8 cell embryo transfered
BFP!   11/16/12 U/S- Two nuggets with perfect heartbeats! EDD 7/10/13

    Good luck to you!!! I am having my first one tomorrow.. I feel the same way you do! Trying to stay positive since everyone seems to think that helps.. but on the other hand, trying not to get too excited in case it doesn't work out. It's definitely an emotional roller coaster.

    Let us know when you find out when you will be having your IUI! I will be rooting for you! :)

    Yes, it does make sense. I was the same way. I think I was just trying to be realistic. Good luck to you :)

    Oops, I just replied to your other post before I saw this one. We have similiar experience it seems except I didn't do IUI. I had a 16mm cyst too but my E2 was fine so I got to continue on with Clomid.  and I've gone back and forth between being hopeful and forcing myself to be negative so I'm not upset if this isn't it.

    I keep my FX for you! What happened to the cyst? Did it stay the same?

     It stayed the same, didn't grow at all & didn't prohibit my left from producing a pretty 17mm REAL follicle :D

    I'm happy you're getting to start. That's great news.

    As for wanting to be positive but not too positive -- it makes complete sense.  It's devastating when it doesn't work. But I'm going to think very postiive thoughts for you....you hold back and we'll be positive for you!!

    January 2011 - December 2012: 4 cycles w/Clomid; 9 IUIs w/Follistim & Menopur;  two IVF cycles converted to IUI (poor response/dominant follicle) 

    August 2014 IVF (antagonist protocol: Menopur, Follistim, Ganirelix, dexamethasone): 13 eggs, 9 mature, 8 fertilized w/ICSI; 0 frozen, 3 transferred day 5 = BFN

    October 2014 IVF (micro-lupron protocol: mircrolupron, Menopur, Follistim, dexamethasone): 8 eggs, 4 mature, 3 fertilized w/ICSI; 3 transferred day 3 = BFP! Beta 1=121; Beta 2=287; Beta 3 =678. Miscarriage @ 8w2d. :(
