Thank you to Little_Bit for posting about the Gap sale!
I'm wondering what type of panel most people go for with maternity pants. Is the demi panel comfortable throughout the whole pregnancy? Is the full panel too much for when you're only first showing and in 2nd tri? And what about the ones with just an elastic waist - do they end up falling down or showing crack?
Re: Which type of panel for jeans/pants?
DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption
It depends on the person.
I much prefer demi panel, if it's loose enough. Full panel pants are best for weeks 25-40, but if you size it right, you can wear demi panels now through postpartum. I just think you might get more wear out of them.
One of the biggest critiques of the demi panel is that it can cut into your lower abdomen, making it uncomfortable. That didn't happen with my demi panel pants.
And I could never get my full panel pants to stay up. They were forever sliding off my belly, now matter how big or small I was.

Itching! I forgot about the damm itching!

I prefered the demi-panel most of the time.
Last time in pregnancy the full panel would make me itch so I didn't want it on there, so I would just fold it down.
They will both get annoying
I got two pair of the Secret Fit full panel from Motherhood when they were Buy One Get One Half off and the panel is really thin and breathable. My sister recommended them b/c it is thin enough to easily fold over if you end up not wanting the full in the beginning, but it is there at the end when you will.
In all honesty, I can't wait to start wearing them. They are so stinkin comfortable and actually really cute!
These were my favorite for my first pregnancy. Before I was fully showing I would just fold them down and it worked great. My SIL though only ever wore secret or demi panels. The best thing you can do OP is try them on and see what feels most comfortable to you.
