Babies on the Brain

Update to my odd spot. (GROSS)

It is a infected bite of some sort.  It was so swollen and bruised this morning she couldn't really tell if it was spider or something else.  She irrigated and cleaned it.  She then packed it and put me on strong ass antibiotics.  I have to go back in on Friday and have it cleaned and looked at again. She agreed the VW is going to make it harder to heal. She said if it hasn't stopped bleeding by Friday she is going to send me to a specialist. She  I am in so much pain.  She gave me a RX for pain meds I am half tempted to have them filled.

Oh and DH who is a baby when it comes to gross stuff has to change the packing tomorrow!  I can't wait to see how many times he pukes.

  • Nasty. Good luck with that.

  • Aw, man, that sucks. I'd fill the Rx just in case, especially if you're in pain.
  • Oh yuck. But awesome, because I'm gross.

If it hurts that bad, you probably should get the pain meds filled.  No sense in adding pain to your list of suffering.

  • Boo. I would fill the Rx. You don't have to take them, but they're there if you need it in the middle of the night. I'm glad they packed it, sorry your DH has to deal with it. I'm more sorry you're in pain! :(

I have never had to have anything packed other than when I had my wisdom teeth out. The thought is enough to turn my stomach.

GL to you hubs with that one :/

I'm glad she got it all dealt with though - and I would probably fill the meds as well. Always a good thing to have on hand.

  • I would get that Rx filled before your DH has to change and repack it. OUCH!
Hopefully it heals quickly and no specialist is needed.

Yes, this.  I would fill it and take some about 45 mins or so before your dh changes the packing.  Since he has never done it before, and he is nervous he probably wont have the best touch.  No need to feel a lot of pain if you dont have to!

  • I'm glad you went to the doc.  I hope the antibiotics kick in soon.  And ditto every body else about filling the pain meds.

Changing the packing is not fun.  I've had to do it on Killian before.
