You just cook the potato and mash it up? Or do I put it in the blender and hit puree? Do I have to add anything to it- like water? yeah I'm clueless and because I'm so clueless I took the easy/lazy way out with Nicholas and just gave him jarred purees. I'm really trying to be good this time and make the food.

Re: So when making sweet potatoes for baby, (as in puree)
yep. stab it with a fork- bake it @ 400 for like 45-60 min.
let it cool for like 5 min- peel back the skin, scoop out the yummy pop it in the blender & call it a day.
no need to add anything!

I usually steamed ours in the microwave (peel it, cube it, throw it in a big bowl with some water, cover with plastic wrap, cook for like 10 minutes), then threw it in the blender and hit puree.
Sometimes it would get stuck in the blender, so I would add some water to thin it out and make it easier to blend. So I just kinda added water until the blender got going.
Because we're fancy like that.
