Bladder pain

Every once while, my bladder hurts.  In a "ouch a baby just kicked me in the bladder and makes me feel like I have to pee" kind of way.

Obviously there are no babies in there (yes, I POASed this morning cuz i knew you guys would ask) and I've been cleared for a UTI, so what's up?

Dr. SAIF?

Re: Bladder pain

  • I have the same issue, but I know mine is caused by some endo on it =(

  • dude...wtf!?!?  I seriously have been debating about going to the doc because I've been having bladder pain and i I can wait a long time to pee..but when I decide i need to go, i'd better get there right now!  I can't remember, did you have a c-section?  I keep feeling like its tied to my incision somehow...

UMMM - TOTALLY!  A part of me feels like somehow my bladder got messed up when they were in there digging for babies!

My incision still hurts.  Not in an "ouch that hurts like a motherf*&er" way (for 2 weeks post partum). more of a "Yeah, i know you are still there, especially when it rains" kind of way.

I did always suspect I had endo though... I always felt like I have more than just PCOs... since most PCOsers don't need for IVFs to get pg!

  • Have you ever had a lap?

I had 2 and both confirmed a little endo on my bladder and they were afraid to poke a hole in it, so a little remains...

To throw into the mix I have also had a c-section;)

My incision is the same way..some days it pulls and god help the dog if he jumps on it! ;)  so..given you, me and Babbsy all have the issue...I'm going with normal (and I don't have any endo that I know of and I don't have PCOS)
  • I get the heeeby jeebies if anything touches my scar! It still has that weird numbing sensation. I talked to my OB about it and said that he would recommend cutting it open again and burning the nerves, because he said they probably grew together wrong when I was healing.

Since I plan to have more kiddos I can take care of this on my next c-section.

  • I didn't have a c-section, but I have this same pain once in awhile. It feels like when I was pregnant and either DD would kick my bladder or when my uterus was just pushing on my bladder in general. I honestly just assumed that everything hadn't gone back to where it started after I had DD... I guess maybe I should ask the dr about it eventually though if it continues :)

  • I used to have that and it was a two fold issue- endo on my bladder, so much that it attached to my abdominal wall and interstital cystitis.

The did clean off my bladder and detach it and my pain decreased a ton.  Then I was put on medication for the cystitis and within a year I felt like a whole new woman.
