Woohoo! Storms in Houston

It's pitch black outside (or very near) and we keep intermittently losing power.

It has rained all of 2x (and one kind of didn't count) since DS was born, so we're hoping for some rain!

Hunker down, Houston bumpies!

  • Meanwhile up by Detroit we have a tornado warning and still haven't lost power.

Where are you? No power loss in the Heights, but it looks scary outside!

My friend in Tomball lost power. We are close to Reliant and just have wind and scary clouds (or had scary clouds before it was dark). Hoping for good rain!

Spring-Cypress area. It's past us now. The ground barely got wet. :(

  • Shreveport finally got a good down pour.  Maybe not the same system, but we lost power for a bit, too.  I took T out on the porch and told him what rain was, since the lat time it rained I was still counting his age in days.

Last night  we had huge thunder, winds, and lightning, with no rain so today was very welcomed, even with a few downed trees.

His three plus my one; we are all excited to welcome a little one!

  • Oh, hi Houstonians! I moved back up to NYC from H-town about 10 years ago but my dad's still in TX half of the time.

Dark gray and stormy here in NYC as well.

I would totally move back to TX but my husband hates hot weather (although he likes the scene in Houston, and loves him a cold Shiner).
