Extreme weather can provoke this stuff right? lol. But seriously, any guesses? Do you think we'll see an increase in Sept mom numbers?
My mom seriously just emailed me asking if I think the baby will come during the hurricane because that just won't work for her getting here. lol. I responded, yep, that's when he is going to come. It's Murphy's law right?
What kind of an email is that? Who the hell knows when he is going to come!
Re: Any bets on who will go into labor with Irene?
Ha! Are you serious?! That's hilariously crazy.
I'm terrified we'll have to venture from Astoria to the Upper East Side in the middle of a hurricane, or that my doctor won't be able to get there or something. I'm hoping he stays put over the weekend.
I was just on the phone with my Mom about the same thing. Asked her if she wanted me to have anything in the house for her just in case she has to come over this weekend to watch our DD.
I have my mw appt today and curious to see if she says anything as some others have posted.
I am jealous of any RI Moms. Jim Cantore is up there :-)!
We were just joking about this last night! SO's mom suggested we stay at their house because they're closer to the hospital incase there's any flooding. Hopefully if anybody does go into labor, everyone arrives safely!
I half-expected to go into labor after all of the "excitement" of the earthquake...and now comes a fabulous storm system.
I'm so glad my hospital is only 5 miles away lol.
But, all of this "ominous" stuff definitely has my butt in high gear getting ready for this LO!
(Please baby boy, just give mom a little more time, I'm not quite ready yet!)
I figure first an earthquake, then a hurricane, i'm just waiting for the locusts...I for sure am going into labor in the middle of it. My hubby was told to read up on childbirth at home...needless to say he is a bit panicked. My mother wants to come up to RI today (She lives in NYC) just in case...LOL
Be safe!!
And yes Jim Cantore is in RI, the whole state is in a upheaval with his arrival, its quite funny
I posted in my UO that I think that the northeast being in such upheaval about this storm already is ridiculous and terribly premature, but that aside, I have been telling my DH that I want to go Jim Cantore stalking! I heart him. I always have.
Yep this. We will get some wind and rain if anything so I really haven't paid attention to any of it and probably won't.
Our biggest issue here in NJ is that it has been a really wet month. We had a big rain storm come through week before last that flooded a lot of places. We just don't have anywhere for the water to go right now - direct hit or not.
