Here too....today was day 70 over 100 and we broke the record from 1925! I am mostly tired of people asking me about how I am 'handling' it. What do you mean? I have a choice? No, I just go about my day and try to stay in a/c and if I have to be outside I try to do it while IN water!
But I figure since it was so hot this summer (which started in April here) I should be in for a wet cold winter - extra hard to be out and about with a newborn!
I absolutely agree! I have started to feel like I'll faint if I go out in the heat even for just a few minutes. Yesterday I was even starting to get uncomfortable just driving! My poor doggy hasn't had a proper walk in a few days because of it- I get so exhausted during the day that I can't even go out after it's cooled off.
I would love to say I'm over the heat, but I live in Phoenix where it was 116 today, and we have an extreme heat advisory until Friday. It will "cool" down this weekend to 110. I have told all of my friends who are thinking about getting pregnant to do it early summer, so they are nice and big when it's actually cool outside. Getting pregnant in January was not the best move!
I have no idea how I'll make it another 9 weeks. I just lay here and groan and whine.
We're in TX, two weeks ago we had a day that only got to 99! but other than that it's just been ridiculous 100+ days. To top it all off we live in an older house (rental) and the AC just can't keep up with demand, even with the AC set at 73, it is usually around 83-85 inside
The news says we start with rolling "brownouts" probably today! So exciting!
I need a pool and a shaved ice, I have neither
