Ok I bet there have been post about this before but I am not on every day and I am too lazy to search through the board. I am considering buying one but I wanted to hear your feedback first because for example I already bought an Ergo baby carrier and she absolutely hates it. I mean of course I can sell it again but I just dont want to buy another thing I dont use especially because I only have a one room appartment so space is limited. So tell me about your Bumbo ladies
Re: Your expierences with a Bumbo
DD was not a huge fan of the bumbo at first, but now likes it quite a lot. She will happily sit in it for a while and watch me read her books or sing to her.
Yep, I do this too. M wasn't the biggest fat at first but she likes it okay now. I say give EVERYTHING you buy for baby at least 1 week of real college trys before counting it as a waste. I got my Bumbo used for free from someone on my local www.bookoo.com its like craigslist, but more localized. Its blue, and has cat claw marks in it, but I scrubbed it clean, and wiped it down with lysol wipes. Also I might buy a cover for it from target. I don't think I would shell out the $40 at Walmart for a new seat, but for free + $15 for the cover...I think its worth it.
Mine has a big 'ol head that she can't keep up at all times, and I understand that they shouldn't be in the bumpo until they can do that. We've tried it a few times, and she's liked it, but I want to wait a little longer until she can sit up on her own.
We got a bebe pod from a friend and it's a pretty lime green. Unfortunately, it's not compatible with the tray (older version), so if I find that I do want the tray, I'll just get a set from consignment sale and wipe it down.
Bumpo's site: As soon as your baby can support their own head you can seat them in the Bumbo Seat
Bebepod's says "only use when you baby can fully support his/her head"

You're not supposed to expect them to sit up on their own before six months, but there's no harm in putting them in something if they have the head control.
We received one for free from a coworker of DH's. I wouldn't have bought one on my own. So far he doesn't have the core strength for it but we're putting him in it for a couple minutes at a time to build it up. Like tummy time. He doesn't hate it but it doesn't excite him either.
Our DS likes his alright. It's not his favorite thing, but he will sit in it for 15-20 minutes and watch us do stuff or "play" with toys and such. We got ours free from a friend, I don't know that I would spend the $50 or whatever on it though.
And at 3 months our little guy ::just:: fits in. There's no way we'd be able to use it if we waited until 6 months! lol.
