Does anyone else use a fabric shower liner? Man, I love them! I just throw it in the wash once a week and it's good to go! If I feel like it's getting a little nastier than normal then I let it soak in some bleach for a while in the washer, then do a quick wash and then a final wash and it's perfectly white and clean. They hang nice (don't get sucked in and touch your body (oh i hate that with some plastic/vinyl ones)....just thought I'd do a little rave in case anyone doesn't and wants to give it a go.
Re: s/o shower door/curtain
To make things even easier, grab a set of the S-shaped curtain holders - then you aren't unsnapping and re-snapping rings. You can just pull them off and put them back on super quick.
We had a clawfoot at our last place and while I LOVED it - we needed THREE shower curtains to wrap around the thing and the way it was angled made it all bunch up and it got icky really fast. What a pain!!
oh, yeah, I have those already!
I have the upstate ny bump to thank for my fabric curtains! I grew up with the doors and loved them....of course cleaning them wasn't something I cared about back then. I mean, I had to do it occasionally when it was my turn, but I never really thought about it. I would take showers at friend's houses who had vinyl curtains and thought they were disgusting!
So when DH and I got married and we had shower curtains I was so disappointed. But in an apartment, no way were we remodeling. I learned about fabric curtains on here and love them so much. They blow in a little, but don't cling to you like the vinyl does. And so easy to wash. Definitely get the open hooks, it makes it so easy. Mine look like an upside down T. I got both my fabric liner and hooks at Bed Bath and Beyond, and the outer fabric curtain at walmart bc it matched. I just wash them both once a week to every other week. The way my hooks are, it is fast to take both off and on anyway.
i was just thinking about these the other day because of exactly this!
i've used them in hotels and saw them at linens & things (back when that existed), good to know about your rave and i might have to look into switching

I just bought a new yucky vinyl liner and hung it up yesterday. I also bought an actual decorative shower curtain for the first time in this house. As I was hanging it up I was dreaming about S-hooks.
I typically replace the liner every 6 months...but the last one was only a few months old and ripped. I think I'm going to switch to a fabric liner next time...along with the S-hooks.
