Progesterone question

Hi everyone!

I take Crinone and since my last u/s my RE told me to decrease to one a day till 10 weeks then stop. I'm nervous that this is too early especially since I used DE to get pregnant because I have premature ovarian failure and my hormones are virtually nothing without the support. I may push to keep on them till 12 weeks if possible. What would you girls do?

    I would ask to stay on it. It may be that after a certain point it may not help any longer. GL!

    My RE always said that extra progesterone doesn't hurt you or the baby.  So you can probably just keep taking it through 12 weeks if you feel more comfortable.  But your body should take over at some point.  Well actually the placenta does.  So you don't have to worry about your body so much after 10 weeks.

    At 10w your placenta should have taken over progesterone production.  I came off PIO at 10w4d but stayed on my Crinone supps until 12w just to be safe (I was previously on both).  If it makes you feel better, you could just stay on one a day until 12w but it's probably unnecessary.  Good luck!

    I was nervous about this too. My OB said 10 weeks is standard. I don't see how it could hurt, though, so I would ask to take more if it makes you feel better.
