I am DYING to get out of town for a short (4 day) vacation. I have some time off in September and would like to get something planned.
I've taken road trips with them alone, so I'm not really worried about everything once we get where we're going. It's the flight I'm worried about.
Has anyone flown alone with 2 kids? Any tips on making it easier?
Suggestions on where to go? We live in Colorado.
Re: Vacations alone with kids
I just took my two on their very first road trip... we went to Minneapolis.
I have no flight tips, but the best "toy" I brought along on our drive was a mini-DVD player. I bet it might help distract the kids during the flight. I would just recommend dressing them comfortably, shoes they can slip on and off easily for the airport, and lots of fruit snacks.
Oh, and I recommend Minneapolis for sure. My kids loved Mall of America, and our hotel was adjacent to this:
Adventure Peak
I have a 3 1/2 yr old and a 1 1/2 yr old.
I will definitely be traveling with my laptop, which has tons of movies stored directly on the hard drive. Then I don't have to take actual DVDs. And I have a sad attachment to my computer, so I wouldn't travel without it anyway.
