when i was in labor i basically had one nurse and i loved her. i always meant to give her a gift and thank you card but things got so crazy with a new baby and yea yea excuses excuses.
well griff has a new baby cousin and we're going to visit DHs cousin at the same hospital so i was thinking of giving the nurse a thank you card (and maybe a starbucks gift card or something). is this dumb and rude since its over 8 months late? im sure she wont remember me but i still appreciate everything she did for me. i mean... i would love a thank you gift no matter how late, no?
Re: is this dumb?
It's NEVER too late for a thanks. I'm in one of those professions where you kind of have to live on thank you's (teaching) and I am imagining nursing is like that as well. It will seriously make her day.
I always wanted to thank the nurse who helped me but I forgot her name in my post labor haze
I wonder if there is a way to find out who was my L+D nurse!
Ginny DX 21-Hydroxylase Deficiency Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia
Charlie DX Specific Antibody Deficiency & ASD
thank you ladies! just the response i wanted
jilly- i bet it would be in your hospital records? i wonder if you could ask?
I think it is a great idea.
I had to see the lactation consulatant a couple times. She actually was the same one who was J's nurse when he was born. I wanted to send her one of J's birth announcements, but DH told me that was silly. I still wish I would have done it.
i never thought of it that way!
