Worst fear about Ob appts..

That when they do an internal im going to fart in the Dr's face. Weird I know but it scares me to death!

    Yes. I have had plenty of internals and paps but it still always crosses my mind. Totally irrational but still.

    When I have paps I always feel like if I laugh or cough the speculum will go shooting out of me.  I mentioned this to my current doctor at the last exam and she just laughed and said "That would be IMPRESSIVE."

    Lol! Can't be any worse than going in for your 3rd membrane stripping because you're a week overdue and he 'accidentally' breaks your water...then tells you that you must have peed on him. Nevermind the 3 gallons of water gushing out of me.

    I was so embarrassed to walk out of that office knowing that someone had to clean that mess up.

    After DS1 was born, I had to have pelvic floor physical therapy. When we started, I had very little control of urine and absolutely no control of gas. I farted at/on the therapist several times during my first session. I didn't care about pooping during delivery, but that was beyond embarrassing! She didn't mind; she told me it happens all the time in her profession.

    Dont worry, for all my internals with DS, and the one i had last week...they put their hand down there...not their face. DR usually kinda turns sideways and puts his hand up there while looking at the ceiling. Dont know if thats normal or not, but my MW did it 4years ago, and my DR does it now
