OB or Midwife referrals for MGH

Hi everyone! I just found out this am that I am pregnant! I am a little over 3 weeks along.  I do not have an OB and am looking for referrals.  I live just outside of boston (less than 5 mins).  My current doctor is at MGH and would prefer to find a midwife or OB there.  I am more partial to midwives, though would consider a great OB.  I would also consider Mount Auburn in Cambridge. 

I would ask my PCP, but I was currently looking for a new one and don't feel that I would get a good referral from her.  Though if it comes down to it I will.

    I don't have an OB rec for you.... but I wound up at MGH after giving birth to my son. I just wanted to let you know that the post partum nurses are amazing.  You are brilliant to deliver there!  Good luck w/ your search.

    I recommend the Midwives at Mt. Auburn.  They have a monthly meet the midwives session that is a great opportunity to get to know them and how they practice.  https://mamah.org/

    I don't have a suggestion either. My health insurance policy is primary tied to Mt. Auburn and I have heard only good things about their midwives.

    I LOVED Anne-Marie Armstrong, but she wasn't in when LO was born and Marie Henderson delivered him. Either would be great :)

    I'll second Anne Marie Armstrong or Marie Henderson; I have been primarily seeing Marie but have seen Anne Marie too; they both have been wonderful.

    So I got my first appt on Sept 21st! My midwife is going to be Anne Marie! I am happy that you all think she is great.  I did not see your referrals until today, so it is a lucky coincidence! Thank you all for your help!

    Anne-Marie was my midwife too, though I ultimately delivered with Dana.  I loved all of the midwives at MGH, and the recovery nurses were fantastic too.  I had a wonderful natural birth experience at MGH, and wish you all the best!

    Anne Marie is my midwife too!  I'm in my first tri so maybe I'll run into you in her 'pod'.  I really liked her at my first appt.
