Anyone else feel the earthquake

And had no idea what was going on.  My car was rocking back and forth but there wasn't any wind.  We were steps away from the Delaware river and I was terrified!  My daugther (15) was home alone and said the house shook and stuff started to fall.  When I got home she was hesterical.

Anyone else on the Bump feel the quake?  Hopefully everyone's okay.

  • Oddly enough, I am in Toronto, Canada and people felt it here.
  • I'm in Cleveland.  I was in my second floor office and felt nothing but folks on the first floor felt it.

    I live in NJ.

  • Oh, I felt it too. I am in southern NJ (I know that 609 in your siggy). Our kitchen pendant lights and the light over our dining room table swayed back and forth. And the wood blinds went knocking back and forth hitting the trim on either side of the window. It felt crazy, I couldn't figure out what was going on, but I turned on the news right away to find out.

  • I was on a conference call with some people in DC, including my boss, who interrupted the call to say, "I have to go.  The building is shaking and I think we are having an earthquake.  I'm on the 10th floor and I'm freaking out!" And then he hung up.

My parents live in NE Ohio and they felt it there, too, although it wasn't real bad there.  My mom says she felt a shaking and her dining room hutch was rattling.

    Scary!

  • I'm about 25 miles from the epicenter and we felt it pretty strongly. I was in my office at the time and thought the maintenance men were working on the roof but it got so loud and lasted so long that I knew it couldn't be them. It was scary! We're all OK, just a little shaken up. Ha ha.

  • I'm in Northern NJ and felt it. It was so odd. And I knew immediately it was an earthquake because the building was rolling.
